c1958 Hofner Flamenco Spruce
A beautiful example from Hofners rich history!
This particular example dates to around 1958, and was originally purchased at a store called Nicholsons in Sydney! This model, dubbed the 'Flamenco' model, was a beginner/intermediate instrument from Hofner at the time. Featuring a solid-spruce top, the Hofner Flamenco had a slightly slimmer than usual nut-width and also a shallower body depth.
This particular example sounds particularly superb when playing single note lines with a pick. Fingerstyle still sounds great, but we've found the particular tone and resonance of this example to really benefit from plectrum playing.Â
Hardware is fully functional, and plays well with a medium action. Includes the orginal hard case.Â
