c2004 Fender CIJ '52 Reissue Telecaster Vintage Natural
A great Telecaster boasting an incredible sounding pickup from Mick Brierley.
This particular instrument was manufactured sometime between 2002 to 2004, and bears the CIJ 'crafted in Japan' designation. Featuring an ash body and maple neck with a V-shape profile, this example is a tonne of fun and captures a tonne of Tele vibe.
Electronics look correct for these models at this time, however the standard single-coil neck has been replaced with what appears to be a mini-humbucker from noted Australian pickup maker, Mick Brierley.
Sounds lovely, with the mini-humbucker delivering a warm yet articulate contrast to the brightness of the bridge pickup. Cosmetically in reasonable condition, this example has a fair few dings and scratches, however nothing impedes on the instruments stability. Notably a side dot appears to be slightly missing.
Hardware is fully functional, and plays well with a low action. Includes a gig bag.
